Hondori is the most central area for sightseeing and dining. Hiroshima Station is best for transport and day trips. Miyajima Island is worth an overnight stay.

Take the JR train to Miyajimaguchi Station (25 min), then the ferry (10 min). The entire trip takes about 45 minutes. The ferry is free with a JR Pass.
